Part of the money Evansville and Vanderburgh County receives each year from Casino Aztar is supposed to be designated for the Fire Department. In the past, part, if not all, of the fire department’s share has been misappropriated and spent to replace vehicles in the Police Dept. fleet while the fire trucks rusted and went unrepaired.

Perhaps the EFD needs to review the expenditures from the Aztar money and demand their fair share. There is a contract with Casino Aztar and the city and county do not seem to be following it all the time.

Hello,

In the Monday Aug. 22nd issue of the Evansville Courier, page 3A under local happenings there is a section under local happenings that talks about “Visioning Workshops” If you would go to website called Democrats Against UN Agenda 21, you will see what these meetings are really about. They try to get people to buy in to their ideas regarding “sustainable development”, “Green Jobs” and “smart growth” . What these ideas really translate into are :

_ taking away private property rights
-undermining local and state laws
-a lower standard of living for all
- and much, much more.

Please investigate and educate yourselves and let the public know what these plans are really about

The hourly cost are too low….you cannot run a 757 for $3000 per hour. I would say it is 4 or 5 times the government figures.
